Capua Collective's music now available for the first time to buy featuring new track Montevago and exclusive O'Flynn remix of Poquoson.
Capua Collective's music is by two friends Jack Beattie and Francis Bavetta. Though their songs are electronic in nature, they are just as much a coming together of live musicians as they are electronic productions, seamlessly blending an almost cinematic wall of breathtaking live sound with deep, rhythmic grooves that borrow from the more spiritual side of dubstep. The denseness of their arrangements and the strange but beautiful chords in their harmony borrows from the influence that jazz has on the duo, complete with a huge world sample library expertly blended with all the other elements of their sound.
Live, they go against the expected norm of just a couple of laptops with maybe an extra guitar thrown in - they have a 7-piece band complete with even a saxophonist, making a very natural and truly engaging live show. In all, they are a step away from the static direction a lot of producers seem to adopt, instead making a rich, all encompassing sound, celebrating all types of music.
